A deep connection between therapist and client is key to forming the trust necessary to overcome

challenges in one's life. It is in a safe and protected space that we can begin to look at our lives and decipher the meaning of our conflicts in a nonjudgmental manner.

Throughout the various phases of development we have encountered childhood difficulties, traumas (such as loss, abandonment, abuse, divorce etc.)which will manifest as psychological and physical blocks. These blocks keep us from realizing our potential and are expressed in a variety ways: anger, depression, anxiety, addiction, powerlessness ,relationship issues and overall life dissatisfaction.

My approach to therapy is to facilitate self awareness and self understanding in order to learn about the underlying reasons of our psychic blocks. I use an array of techniques such as psychodynamic, psychoanalytical, trauma therapy and psycho-spiritual approaches. These include a variety of ways to access unconscious material such as : journaling with parts of self, dreams and creative imagination excercises i.e drawing, collages. Once an awareness of our lost selves emerges, additional techniques are utilized in order to affect a permanent behavior change and thus releasing the underlying energy held by the psychological blocks.

My work is informed by numerous influences which include Jungian and relationship therapy , Imago relationship therapy , EMDR therapy, Trauma Resolution Energy Therapy as well as cross cultural and psycho -spiritual studies.
